Chief Engineer, Energy Queensland

Suzanne joined Energy Queensland as Chief Engineer in September 2025, leading engineering strategy and asset management across Queensland’s critical electricity infrastructure serving millions of customers.

With over 30 years of experience, Suzanne’s journey from military apprentice to C-suite executive spans the military, aviation, power generation, digital transformation, manufacturing, and energy transmission sectors. She has overseen billion-dollar infrastructure portfolios and led large multidisciplinary teams, shaping her expertise in managing complexity, mitigating risk, and driving large-scale impact.

Recently named Women in Industry – Excellence in Energy 2025, Suzanne holds First Class Honours in Electrical Engineering, an MBA, and is a Fellow of Engineers Australia. Passionate about mentoring young engineers, she also serves on boards supporting veteran and community initiatives. Suzanne exemplifies how engineers can evolve from technical specialists to strategic leaders shaping Australia’s energy future.
