Invitation to Sponsor
On behalf of the IPS Connect 2024 organising committee, I am writing to offer you the opportunity to contribute to a network, informed and responsive international renewable energy economy.
For 2024 the IPS Connect will be hosted on King Island, Tasmania, leveraging the King Island Renewable Energy Integration Project – the development of a world-leading, hybrid off-grid power system capable of 100% renewable operation. This is the first megawatt class off-grid system with this capability in the world.
The island’s advanced hybrid power system integrates renewable and innovative enabling technologies, including wind generation, solar PV, flywheels, battery storage, dynamic resistor, and an aggregated fast customer demand response system. Access across a range of operational solutions will ensure the IPS Connect 2024 captures the lessons learnt among successful early hybrid power plant deployments. The format encourages increased knowledge sharing, collaboration, and networking to support and sustain a viable microgrid economy.
The University of Tasmania possesses significant experience facilitating industry events in support of emerging technologies, markets, and industries. In adopting our successful Workshop – Tour format, as used since 2015, IPS Connect 2024 has become the premier isolated power systems workshop for the exchange of research, new technology and training in Pacific areas. This workshop provides a forum for academics, industry researchers and experts in renewable energy, storage, mobility and generation to discuss and share ideas, present results, reflect on past experiences and discuss future projects.
In contrast to the multiple other microgrid conferences available nationally and internationally, IPS Connect 2024 is unique.
– We have adopted an in- person format, across a select delegate base;
– We co-locate the interactive event adjacent to both operational and planned microgrid facilities/projects;
– We are run as a not-for-profit undertaking, reducing participation costs.
We acknowledge the importance of your support in the success of our workshop and will ensure that our event provides a suitable platform to interact, engage and inform your audience. The event committee would be pleased to negotiate a specific sponsorship package to accommodate any particular needs of your organisation.
A sponsorship application form is included in this prospectus for your consideration.
