Isolated Power Systems Connect (IPS Connect)

The IPS Connect conference is an international technology forum aimed at remote power system operators and owners. This year’s conference features informational panels on remote power system successes, challenges and future opportunities and will include showcase tours of renewable and energy storage power stations in Queensland.

Invitation to Participate

We are pleased to announce that IPS Connect 2026 will be hosted in Denpasar, Bali.

IPS Connect has become the premier workshop for isolated power systems in the Pacific region, offering a platform for the exchange of cutting-edge research, emerging technologies, and practical training. This event brings together academics, industry leaders, and technical experts in renewable energy, storage, mobility, and power generation to share insights, present results, reflect on lessons learned, and explore future collaborations.

The workshop is designed to foster knowledge sharing, encourage collaboration, and build networks that support a sustainable and resilient microgrid economy. With a strong track record in delivering impactful industry events, the University of Tasmania continues its successful Workshop – Tour format, which has been a hallmark of IPS Connect since 2015.

What makes IPS Connect 2026 especially distinctive is its setting: an interactive event held in close proximity to both operational and planned renewable and energy storage projects, including site visits. This immersive environment enhances learning and engagement by connecting discussion directly to real-world applications.

We warmly invite you to join us in Cairns and contribute to this vital conversation on the future of isolated power systems.
