Tsia Agreement

AME and College Board Support AME will publish a registered webinar on June 5 to answer questions and complete the model and form. In addition, AME has worked with the College Board to provide instructions on how TSIA administrators can create a personalized report and view them on the ACCUPLACER platform, the TSIA data needed for the presentation is requested. This allows districts that are TSIA administrators or have a data exchange agreement with a university institute (IHE) to find accurate data. If you feel you are exempt, please contact a counsellor at your university. A full list of ITS waivers can be accessed in www.thecb.state.tx.us/TSI. For more information on the Texas Success Initiative and the TSI evaluation, see www.thecb.state.tx.us/TSI. The student must complete a pre-assessment activity (PAA) and a practical test before conducting the official texas Success Initiative (TSIA) evaluation battery. The STI Assessment (TSIA) is a three-part knowledge assessment of reading, mathematics and writing. These tests are done on a computer. The TSIA is not a time test and can be quite long. Please share about 1.5 to 2 hours per section. Students who try all three sections can be excused for breakfast.

Please pack a lunch or use our gourmet facilities on campus. If a student is unable to complete all sections of the exam, they may return within 14 days to complete the exam. The structure of the test is as follows: . Tea published a letter to The Addressed Administrator (TAA) on February 6, 2020, providing an overview of the entire repayment process. In that letter, the AME stated that there would be a separate procedure for the introduction of a TSIA claim. If you have any further questions about this correspondence, please contact Advanced Academics at advancedacademics@tea.texas.gov. The TAA has also outlined a procedure for the introduction of claims for sats and ACT-National Tags. Currently, districts are not required to submit documents for SAT and ACT. The SAT and ACT procedure differs from the TSIA claim and will be published in the fall of 2020. Tea plans to use TEAL for this process and encourages districts to ensure they have adequate access to the platform. Background Texas Education Code 48.155 states that a school district is entitled to a refund to cover the management costs of college preparation assessments (SAT, ACT or TSIA) for students in the spring of their junior year or in their senior year, starting in the 2019-2020 school year.

The STI Assessment in Writing is an assessment consisting of a multiple-choice section and a trial section: if the STIA is the highest cost exam for a student for whom the district has paid a refund and who would like to, the borough must apply for a refund from the AME following the procedure described in this document. TSI Math Test – There are about 20 multiple-choice questions on this test and 10 questions in each section of diagnostic tests (if necessary). Topics are: intermediate algebra and functions; geometry and measurements; Data analysis, statistics and probability. Tsi Reading Test – There are about 24 questions on this test and 10-12 questions per category on diagnosis (if necessary). The themes covered are: literary analysis; The main idea and the details of support; conclusions in a text or text and the author`s use of the language. The student must take the STIA, unless the student presents qualifying ACT, SAT or STAAR points to exempt the student from the requirements of the ITS. Note: This information only applies to personal tests.
